Silicon Valley (Open to Remote for Exceptional Candidates)
About Invisible
Invisible is a fast-growing tech startup in Silicon Valley, pioneering a cutting-edge multi-agent orchestration platform. Our technology goes beyond typical automation—enabling AI agents to tackle tasks that can span days, months, or even years across multiple modalities (chat, voice, UI). The platform combines decision-making, task automation, and dynamic conversational capabilities. We’re a team of senior and staff-level engineers with experience at companies like Google, Facebook, Uber, CloudKitchens, and Tesla, united by a passion for pushing the boundaries of AI research and implementation.
What You’ll Do
Explore & Innovate: Conduct research at the frontier of AI—machine learning, reinforcement learning, language models, and beyond—to enhance our multi-agent orchestration platform.
Prototype & Experiment: Rapidly build proof-of-concept models and algorithms. Evaluate their effectiveness, scalability, and applicability to complex, long-duration tasks.
Collaborate & Integrate: Work with cross-functional teams (engineers, product managers, designers) to integrate research findings into real-world products.
Advance the State of the Art: Investigate emerging techniques in AI/ML, keep up with relevant research papers, and propose novel ways to integrate new insights into our platform.
Optimize & Scale: Develop and refine large-scale systems to handle diverse tasks and interactions, ensuring performance and reliability at every stage of deployment.
Contribute to Culture: Mentor peers, share your expertise, and help shape a research-focused engineering culture that embraces both bold experimentation and rigorous validation.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a related field (Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning) or equivalent industry experience.
Deep Technical Skills: Proven track record in one or more core AI areas (e.g., deep learning, NLP, generative models, reinforcement learning, Bayesian methods). Familiarity with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow is a must.
Mathematical Rigor: Solid grounding in probability, statistics, linear algebra, and optimization. Comfort applying these fundamentals to evaluate and refine new ideas.
Programming Proficiency: Strong coding skills in Python (or similar) for rapid prototyping and production-grade implementations. Experience with C++ or Go is a bonus.
Curiosity & Tenacity: You’re drawn to unexplored territory—eager to read the latest research, test new hypotheses, and iterate until you’ve cracked the code.
Team Player: Able to collaborate effectively, communicate complex ideas, and adapt to different roles when needed (e.g., from hard research to production optimization).
Why Join Us?
Groundbreaking Work: Your research will directly impact a next-gen AI platform that orchestrates tasks spanning days to years, opening entirely new possibilities for automation.
Elite Team: Collaborate with engineers who’ve scaled products at Google, Facebook, Uber, CloudKitchens, and Tesla. You’ll learn from the best and sharpen your skills.
Opportunity to Shape the Future: As an early contributor, you’ll influence the evolution of our AI architecture, research roadmap, and company culture.
Cutting-Edge Environment: We don’t shy away from radical ideas—we encourage debate, experimentation, and rigorous validation, giving you the freedom to push the boundaries.
Competitive Package: We offer highly competitive salary, equity, and a benefits plan that reflects our commitment to attracting top-tier research talent.
